Brother Kameon Prather was featured as the University of Georgia Amazing Student this month for his extensive involvement in the Terry College of Business, Music Business Program and his entrepreneurial and internship efforts. Prather was quoted saying:

“I chose to attend UGA for diverse reasons. The outstanding facilities, scholarship opportunities and exceptional reputation of the Terry College of Business were major components of consideration…I have also grown to cherish the friendships and involvement I have developed, including the respected brotherhood that is Alpha Phi Alpha. “

In the summer of 2001, Kameon was offered an internship in New York working for VIACOM | MTV Networks. He spent three months shadowing VIACOM CFO & VP Jimmy Barge as well as BET Networks VP & General Manager Paxton Baker. This turned into more opportunities for Prather, including a position as a Public Relations & Production Assistant for BET Networks.

The Zeta Pi Chapter has a history of UGA Amazing Students, including Brother Corey Dortch (’01) and Brother Dervin Cunningham (’11). You can learn more about Kameon Prather’s experiences here.
