On the evening of February 12th, the Brothers of the Zeta Pi Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. and the Sisters of the Zeta Psi Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. celebrated the legacy of Dr. Hamilton E. Holmes and Mrs. Charlayne Hunter Gault. Moderated by UGA’s Head of Office of International Diversity and Associate Dean of Franklin College of Arts and Sciences, Dr. Michelle Cook, the event investigated the state of Black UGA today to discover whether we are truly upholding the legacy of those before us.  The audience was enlightened and captivated by the expertise and vivid personal accounts of Dr. Robert Pratt, History Professor and Expert on UGA desegregation and Rev. Archibald Killian, of whom Hamilton Holmes resided with while a student at UGA. The night was filled with a musical performance, video presentation, as well as panel and audience discussion. Truly a night to remember.
